Our favorite Outer Shell bag. The lid closes with a drawcord you hook with one finger, so you can get at food, a layer or a camera without stopping. It holds up to five 12 ounce cans, which is Outer Shell's own measure of capacity and a fair one.

2.6 to 4.9 liters, 8 inches wide, 4 deep, 5 tall, 9.5 ounces. A plastic stiffener sheet and rod stiffeners keep it boxy with no sag. Two stretch side pockets, a front sleeve pocket, a clear zip pocket on the lid for a map or phone, and a zip pocket inside. Waterproof liner is standard. D-rings for a shoulder strap.
