Rain Gear
Sacramento rain is wet, not cold, so we stock shells, not parkas. All of it is Showers Pass, out of Portland: taped seams, published waterproof numbers, PFAS-free fabric.
Which jacket?
- Syncline CC: commuting and everyday riding. Room for layers, a hood that fits under a helmet. The default pick.
- Century: road rides. Cycling cut, packs into its own pocket.
- Cloudburst: for riders who overheat. Soft, stretchy and the most breathable shell Showers Pass makes. No hood.
- Elite III: the flagship, for riding all winter. 30,000 mm waterproof, big vents, reflective all the way around.

Waterproof (mm) is how tall a column of water the fabric holds back before it leaks; 10,000 handles steady rain, 25,000 and up handles a downpour. Breathable (g) is how much sweat vapor escapes per square meter in a day; higher means less clammy when you are working hard.
