A saddle bag that changes size. The roll-top closure lets it run small for a tube and tools or open up for more: Outer Shell's example load is a 29er tube, a repair kit, snacks and extra layers. A cam-lock buckle and a seatpost strap hold it steady even when it is full.
Hook-and-loop roll-top closure. 1000D Cordura, or ECOPAK EPLX600 on the ECOPAK colors, with a double layer where it meets the saddle and seatpost. Outer Shell says it can also be strapped to a cargo cage. Made in the USA.
Why we carry it: one bag for the short ride and the long one. Roll it tight for a flat kit; let it out when the morning layer has to come off.
Before you buy: if all you carry is a tube and a multi-tool, the Mini Saddlebag is smaller and costs less. Outer Shell does not publish a volume for this bag.
