Fits: any 6-bolt hub that takes a 180 mm rotor with a 2-piston brake, including the Tektro HD-E3520 on most Aventon e-bikes. Check the size stamped on your current rotor before you order: 180 means this one.
A Tektro TR-52 stainless steel rotor, 180 mm across and 1.8 mm thick, with its six mounting bolts. One rotor, enough for one wheel. We keep it on the shelf in Sacramento. Discount codes don't apply to Tektro products.
When to replace: deep grooves, a lip you can feel at the edge of the braking track, a bend you cannot true out, or oil contamination that cleaning will not cure. A new rotor is also the one clean time to change pad compound, if you want to.
How to install: the rear rotor on a hub-motor bike comes off with the wheel out. Our Aventon brake guide walks through it, with photos. Aventon specs the Abound's rotor bolts at 5 to 7 Nm, and the arrow on the rotor points the way the wheel turns.
Quick answers
- What size do I need? Read the number stamped on your current rotor. If it says 180 and it mounts with six bolts, this is the one.
- Does it come with bolts? Yes, the six mounting bolts are included.
- Should I replace the pads too? Yes. Old pads are worn to the old rotor, and fitting a new rotor is the one clean time to change pad compound.
- Which way does it go on? The arrow on the rotor points the way the wheel turns.
