Fits: 12mm thru-axle frames with M12 x 1.0, 1.5 or 1.75 thread pitch (check yours before ordering) and axle lengths from 135mm up, using the included spacers. Wahoo KICKR, Saris, Elite and Kinetic trainers per KOM.
One axle for the trainer and the road. Most thru-axle bikes will not clamp into a trainer with the stock axle. This one does, and it is built to ride outside too, so you stop swapping axles every time the weather turns.
Precision-machined 6061 aluminum with wrench flats and a hex key end cap. Three thread pitches: M12 x 1.0, M12 x 1.5 and M12 x 1.75. Fits axle lengths from 135mm up using the included 2, 5, 8 and 12mm spacers. KOM lists it as compatible with Wahoo KICKR, Saris, Elite and Kinetic trainers.
Before you order: check your frame's thread pitch. The wrong pitch will damage the dropout. It is usually printed on the stock axle or in the frame spec sheet; if you cannot find it, email us the bike model and we will look it up.
Quick answers
- Which thread pitch do I need? Pull your current rear axle and look at the end or the shaft: most are stamped with the size, for example "M12x1.5". No stamp? The frame maker's spec sheet lists it, or send us the bike's make, model and year.
- Front or rear? Rear. A trainer holds the bike by its rear axle, and this axle's fit range starts at 135mm, longer than a 12mm front axle (about 121mm on a 100mm road fork). It replaces the axle on 12mm rear hubs such as 142mm and 148mm.
- Does it work with my trainer? KOM lists Wahoo KICKR, Saris, Elite and Kinetic. If yours is another brand, email us the model and we will check before you buy.
- Can I ride on it outdoors? Yes, that is the point: one axle for both, so the swap is only the bike, not the axle.
Why we carry it: the cheapest way to get a road or gravel bike onto the trainer for the winter without buying a second wheel.
