Showers Pass built this one to be fast. Same rain and wind protection as the rest of the line, less of everything else: 250 grams in a medium, cut short in front so it does not bunch when you are down on the drops, long in back where the spray comes up.
Artex Gold Ultra 2.5-layer fabric, seam sealed, rated 25,000 mm waterproof and 25,000 g/m2 per 24 hours breathable, 2.5 times more waterproof than the previous Century and noticeably lighter. Cycling cut with longer arms and a generous drop tail. Adjustable cuffs. Two long zippered core vents on the front and a vented back yoke let heat out when you're working. Zippered chest pocket. A chest clip keeps it from flapping when you ride unzipped. Packs into its own rear pocket. Scotchlite reflective trim for 360 degree visibility. Stitched, never bonded, which is the reason these last.
Sizing: S to 3XL in Leaf Green, S to 2XL in Firecracker. Cycling cut, so it is trimmer than the Syncline. Sized to go over a jersey, not over a jersey and a thermal. Chest decides it. Between sizes, or layering, go up.
Before you buy: buy the Century if you ride road or gravel and you care what the jacket weighs in your pocket for the 20 miles it is not raining. Buy the Syncline CC if you commute, want a hood, and would rather keep the $44. The Gen III rain hood we sell separately clips to this jacket if you want the option.
Specs: Material: Artex Gold Ultra 2.5-layer waterproof fabric. Pattern: solid color with Scotchlite reflective trim. Type: lightweight packable waterproof cycling rain jacket.
